Got 49th rank in the NIRF announced by MHRD in the year 2022. 10 departments Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Commerce, English, Computer Science, Micro Biology and Management Studies are research centres. The college has almost all PG programs including MBA and MCA. A coeducational autonomous pre independent college affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University. Started on 11.08.1947. It has a wide greenary campus of 145 acres. Has all extra curricular activities include NSS, NCC, YRC, RRC, fine arts etc. Have a 400 mtr field, concrete basketball court, tennis courts, indoor stadium, volleyball, kabadi grounds. Have short range firing wall. Around 4000 students are studying in the college. College has more than 100 staff members with Ph. D degreeholders. Has separate hostel facility for both boys and girls. Have very good infrastructure facility in the college. Students received more than 1100 placement offer letters in the year 2020. Conducting campus interviews. Students are regularly placed in the Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd

Placements : They are conducting the interviews for the final year students. Nearly more than 20 companies will come and test the students skill to select the students in their companies. The placement was great in the college by the control of Mr Nagendravel. There are some issues with this system. Sometimes the companies deny the students even though they are selected for the campus interviews. It may be a rumour, and I am not sure about that. Infrastructure : This is one of the colleges which has the best infrastructure in southern districts of Tamilnadu. It re-afflicted with 'A' grade in NAAC. There is a huge library inside the college. One can find the mineral water in every building. The playground, swimming pool, canteen, and pyramid are the important points to be noted when we are talking about the infrastructure. There are separate hostels for boys and girls, but there are some issues with the hostel food system.Faculty : The faculty members in the college were not good but good enough for the students who come from the rural places. You know that the English language is essential to get a job in the competitive world, but the students in this college are not good in the language. Undoubtedly, this is the best option for the rural people. The less amount of fee will be charged from the students. There are nearly 21 courses in this college. Other : The college bus is available only for girls. They are not giving more importance to boys while comparing to the girls. There is a private restroom for girls but nothing for boys. I assured that this college would be changed to women's college soon. It was started as boys college in 1947, see how the time changes. I forgot to mention the important point that the mobile phone is strictly prohibited inside the campus. There is no proper Wi-Fi connection for the students. The Wi-Fi is available only in the computer science lab. Apart from these issues, undoubtedly this is the best college in Virudhunagar and its surroundings
